Answer Definitions

• paranormal^† (adjective): That (ostensibly) cannot be explained by what scientists know; supernatural; especially of or pertaining to ghosts, spirits, and hypothesized abilities like telepathy.
• appall (verb): To fill with horror; to dismay.
• apron (noun): An article of clothing worn over the front of the torso and/or legs for protection from spills; also historically worn by Freemasons and as part of women's fashion.
• lamp (noun): A device that generates heat, light or other radiation. Especially an electric light bulb.
• lampoon (noun): A written attack or other work ridiculing a person, group, or institution.
• lollop (verb): To walk or move with a bouncing or undulating motion and at an unhurried pace.
• loop (noun): A length of thread, line or rope that is doubled over to make an opening.
• malaprop (adjective): Characterized by the use of malapropisms.
• napalm (noun): A highly flammable, viscous substance, designed to stick to the body while burning, used in warfare as an incendiary especially in wooded areas.
• nonpolar (adjective): Not containing a dipole.
